Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms", "Agreement") carefully before using the GuardAlert Anti-Theft Alarm application ("GuardAlert", "Service", "App") developed by PerfectWord ("us", "we", "our"). By installing, activating, or accessing the application, you agree to be bound by these legal terms.
1. Acceptance & Usage License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and run GuardAlert strictly for personal, non-commercial security purposes on mobile devices owned or controlled by you. Your license is conditioned on full compliance with these terms.
2. Hardware & Audio Alert Warning
GuardAlert utilizes advanced onboard system sensors (accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensors, microphone, charger connection, and Bluetooth states) to evaluate potential theft patterns. When triggered, the application activates highly loud and persistent audio sirens to deter unauthorized handlers.
⚠️ IMPORTANT SAFETY CAUTION: Due to the extreme audio output potential designed for deterrent efficacy, do not place the active, armed device immediately next to ears. Exposure to highly intense audio at close proximity may cause temporary or permanent hearing impairment. You accept full responsibility for operating the alarm alert volumes safely.
3. Absolute Liability Waiver & No-Guarantee
GuardAlert is designed as an assistant tool for threat detection and visual/auditory deterrence. It is **not** a professional home/personal protection monitoring station or a certified insurance framework.
- We do not warrant that the application will fully prevent device theft, unauthorized handling, property damage, or data loss.
- You acknowledge that sensor calibration depends on hardware manufacturer specifications, ambient conditions, battery states, and system memory availability, which may occasionally result in false positives or missed triggers.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, PerfectWord shall not be held liable for any loss, including physical theft of your device, damage to accessories, loss of volatile data, third-party intrusion, or direct/indirect damages arising from the use or inability to use this app.
4. Pro Subscriptions & Payments
GuardAlert offers basic functionality for free, with optional Premium ("Pro") upgrades to unlock exclusive audio libraries, unlimited history retention, cloud backups, and advanced customization features.
All subscription purchases, transaction processing, recurring billing, and refunds are handled exclusively and securely by Google Play Billing Services. Subscriptions are billed automatically on a recurring monthly or yearly period depending on your selection, and can be cancelled at any time inside the Google Play Store settings.
5. Prohibited Actions
You agree **not** to engage in the following prohibited behaviors:
- Attempting to bypass, crack, reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any cryptographic authentication protocols (like the local `AuthManager` or `BiometricPrompt` layers) inside GuardAlert.
- Distributing modified, hacked, or bypassed versions of the application (.APK files) or modifying system DataStore settings externally.
- Using the microphone "Door Guard Mode" or Front Camera snapshot functionalities for unlawful audio eavesdropping, intrusive surveillance, or harassing activities violating the privacy of others.
6. Termination of Services
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Premium features immediately and without prior notice if you violate any clauses within these Terms of Use, engage in software piracy, or tamper with app enclaves. Upon termination, all rights and licenses granted to you herein cease immediately.
7. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed, interpreted, and construed in accordance with the laws of Vietnam, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
8. Amendments & Contact
