Can I transfer files from my Android to a PC or iPhone?
Yes. The Android app has an embedded Ktor web server. Just tap "Web Server" in the app, and open the provided URL on your PC or iPhone browser to securely upload/download files. No installation required on the receiving end.
Does it support transferring entire folders?
Yes, SharpTransfer allows you to transfer entire directories while preserving the folder structure on the receiving end. Perfect for transferring project folders or photo albums in one go.
Do I need to type IP addresses manually?
Not at all! SharpTransfer supports mDNS for automatic device discovery over local WiFi. We also provide QR Code Pairing for an instant connection without typing anything.
Will transfers pause if I minimize the app?
No, the transfer continues flawlessly in the background. SharpTransfer utilizes Android Foreground Services to keep the TCP sockets alive even if you switch apps or turn off the screen.
Can I resume a paused or interrupted transfer?
Yes! You can pause an active transfer and resume it later. If a connection drops, you can automatically resume exactly where it left off, avoiding the need to restart the entire transfer.
